Hi my name is Marisol Aja, I was born in Mazatlán, but due to my father’s job I lived in different places most of my life; I ended back here around 20 years ago, when I came by myself just to see the place and was caught by the hospitality and marvelous lifestyle that Mazatlán offers. I come from a large family in second marriage for both of my parents, with a total offspring of 8 between boys and girls, I’m used to live surrounded by all kind of people, my family on both sides is huge and as good Mexicans we are colorful, many different ages and tastes.
I graduated as a computer’s engineer but I also have a technical career in tourism. I first learned English by listening my father’s customers, who worked as a manager in a freighter’s ship company, I used to spend many of my free time with him, loved going to his office and to the docks and ships because I could meet people from all over the world, now that I think about it, my dad was my pioneer in customer service, as that’s what he used to do.
Although I graduated in a different career, most of my life I’ve worked in the tourism and customer’s service area using my natural skills; I’m good with numbers and logistics, I tend to be a shy and very respectful person in all the ways, it could be a little hard for me in the beginning to express myself, however that has never stopped me to offer my best version with customers; working in bilingual companies help you learning how to switch the tape from how you might be to what people expects from you, either by phone or in person.
