Sandcastle Beachfront Villa with Pool

Very large and private, great place to stay and relax.

What a gorgeous place! Our family of 6 had a spectacular time. This place truly is a castle. We drove around to many beaches and agreed that the beach right in front of the house was by far the best. The house and attendants are lovely and very responsive. The pool was also a huge hit with the family. You can’t go wrong booking this home, and honestly, you don’t even need to leave the property! It has it all.

Overall it was great. Only a couple of minor things as far, internet was not working the first couple of days which was frustrating. If you have to do some work remotely i would not recomend. However it was address a couple of time and finally after it getting fixed a couple of times they were finally able to get it wokring and staying.

Had lots of room, pool was awesome. staff was fantastic, would definitely rent again

Desde el día de llegada hasta el día de salida tuvimos problema con el a/c, la gerente Nohemi es una señora grosera y despota, no regresaría a esa casa, la casa tiene malas reseñas, lástima que las leí demasiado tarde

We had a wonderful time and the house is truly amazing! Everything about the place is unique. The check-in and check-out was easy and seamless. Raphael and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and helpful with whatever we needed during our stay. Highly recommended 🙂

La casa está muy Agusto para pasar unos días tranquilos en familia, todo el personal siempre agradable y servicial, el único inconveniente fue que no era alberca climatizada, y que los focos de la alberca en la noche son muy pocos y los que ahí son de censor de movimiento

La estancia es agradable, el lugar es tal cual las fotos sin engaños. El concepto es muy bonito y es súper amplio la cochera y áreas de recreación. Tiene una linda vista al mar y el personal es excelente en su atención.

Súper la atención de todos en especial Rafa y Janeth estuvieron al pendiente de todo , apenas necesitábamos algo y la respuesta era inmediata , súper recomendable vale la pena 100% su dinero estará bien invertido , no lo cambio ,

Como dicen otros comentarios: supera las espectativas, un lugar mágico, es hermoso, cómodo, la ubicación es alejado de todo y eso lo hace mas especial, nosotros llevamos una persona en silla de ruedas y cabe perfectamente por las puertas, recomendado ampliamente.

This has to be one of the most amazing air bnbs in the game. It really is a huge castle. More than i thought it would be. The pics are accurate and the location was perfect… far enough from the city but close enough to drive back and forward for hanging out. The house itself has everything you need. Its spacious , comfy and the outside is impeccable. The beach is a footstep away and the pool area is really cool. Rafa the housekeeper and his coworker are amazing.. they are there to help you with anything and upkeep the house if any problem would arise. They are really good at cooking meals for the guests if its something youre interested in. I really recommend it. Definitely recommend a stay here if you visit mazatlan and have a big group of people!

Exotic yet warm, spacious yet private, unique yet functional, recreational yet homey. That's the Sandcastle.
It was the perfect location for our 50th wedding anniversary renewal ceremony and celebration for eleven family members.. The ceremony in the gazebo, the song, Just the Two of Us, performed on the stage, the pinata and chef prepared dinner poolside. And yes, cake by the ocean.
I've been disappointed before by vacation rentals promises. Not this time. The four levels of the Sandcastle contain more unique art and architecture than a small museum. Let's see, should we cook in the main floor kitchen or the third floor kitchen or BBQ poolside?
And if we needed help with anything, the truly enjoyable Raphael and Cindy were there on a daily basis cleaning, maintaining, and setting up our adventures.
Almost every day started with a family tournament on our private tennis court followed by a jump in the ocean which was inches from our front gate with crashing waves lulling us to sleep each night after a full day.
Lori was our point person at Mazatlan4rent and she was wonderful. The kitchen was stocked when we arrived, She took care of wedding bouquets and pinatas and chefs and photographers. It was truly a wonderful carefree week that our family will remember forever,

Our family of 7 joined by three spouses and one grandchild (11 total) enjoyed an incredible week over the fourth of July at the Sandcastle. The single best feature was the privacy the property offered. We literally saw maybe 6 people on the beach over the course of the week. With our own pool and only seconds away from beach access it made it super convenient for everyone to hang out at the pool, pop down to the beach to ride the waves, and back up in time for a fresh batch of Pina Colatas.

The 5 bedrooms allowed everyone to have their own room and the common areas were cozy that made for a fun time together. Would we go back, absolutely. Rafael made us feel at home, took care of any need that we had, and could find us anything we wanted. Daily cleaning made keeping the house in order a breeze.

We did much of the cooking ourselves with several runs to SAMS, Walmart but also enjoyed bringing chefs in to do a few of the dinners. Rafael again was able to assist us in this. The property is not new but maintained. The size of the property allowed everyone to spread out so never felt like we were on top of each other.

Excursions were easily accessible from the property. It was an easy ride from airport - we moved 11 people around without our own transportation and did quite nicely (Rafael makes things happen). It was a great family vacation. We felt safe and had the time of our life.

We were lucky enough to stay at the Sandcastle for 2 full weeks in February.

We had a total of 10 people (6 Adults - Ages 36-70 and 4 kids ages 4-11).

Everyone with us had an amazing time! The grounds are beautiful (The pictures don't do it justice) and the staff was fantastic. Every need we had was met immediately and the property exceeded every expectation we had. The house is a playground for both kids and adults. There is so much detail and thought put into every aspect of it....every day we found something new! There is so much room that if you needed some privacy, you had so many different patios or parts of the garden to choose from.

The beach was so quiet that we only saw maybe 2-3 people a day going for a walk. We hardly ever had to leave the house as we had everything we needed right there. The kids had a blast putting on shows for us on the stage in the garden too! All in all, this place is amazing and we would be back in a heart beat!

We have traveled a lot to various locations, and this was one of the best vacations ever. Sylvia, Raphael, and Cindy did everything to make sure we were happy and comfortable. They were able to make recommendations for us regarding restaurants, best shopping places, etc. that were very helpful. They went out of their way to make sure everything was to our liking. Believe me, you won't be disappointed if you select the Sandcastle. There were ten in our group and we all had our own privacy, and yet the place was large enough to accommodate all of us as a group comfortably. We are already planning to go back. Great vacation!

My husband & I took our adult children to the Sandcastle for our anniversary, and couldn’t have planned a more perfect holiday! There were 10 of us in total. This place is stunning and so much room to gather or head off to a favorite peaceful corner by yourself. We were greeted by Silvia and Rafael with fresh made ceviche, guacamole, salsa, margaritas and beer. The personalized service from Rafael and Cindy were second to none and any tours or transportation were easily arranged. We headed to town a couple of times, though everything we needed was there. The beach is beautiful and quiet, though a TV show was being filmed next door. Surfs Up Cafe is right next door and definitely one of the best restaurants for breakfast or lunch, complete with live music. The worst part was when we had to leave, but we have many great memories for sure! Thank you Silvia, Rafael and Cindy for a fantastic vacation!! During the 5-6 months prior to our trip we had a few questions about the resort, groceries, transportation etc. Pieter was able to get back to us promptly and we even had a few phone conversations along the way to make us feel at ease booking this property with them. Excellent experience overall and would love to go back again.

This place is so unique and the staff couldn't have been better. My family and friends had the best time ever. So secluded without the vendors bothering you on the beach. Great and friendly restaurant one house over with fantastic food and service. Rafael and Cindy were fantastic and attended to our every needs. Thank you so much, we will return!

Let me start by saying we had REALLY high expectations and those expectations were blown out of the water!! This place is awesome! We were in Mazatlan for a week and only left Sandcastle for one day trip. We had the pleasure of getting to know Sylvia, the owner, who was there during our stay. Wow is she ever great! SOOO helpful and nice. Not intrusive in ANY way. She had Rafael and Cindy (our daily caretakers, for lack of a better word) prepare fresh guacamole and margaritas for our arrival. They were both out of this world! Rafael and Cindy also make a killer pina colada, ceviche and carne asada tacos. Plus we had FRESH coconuts right off the tree! As soon as Sylvia found out we loved coconuts she sent her gardener up the tree to get us some. WOW! Also, Rafael negotiated the price for some oysters that the fishermen were out getting right off the beach. It doesn't get fresher or better than that! And they shucked them for us!

The beds were outstandingly comfortable - and trust me, one of our party is very particular about his bed! The kitchen had anything you could possible want - and I cook. We played tennis, basketball and even did a little putting. But, probably the most fun was playing volleyball in the pool. That got pretty competitive! Every night at dusk we'd go to the 4th floor and watch the sunset...ahhhhh. My daughter and I saw the green flash!! These were some of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen and I live in CA. We thought we'd go do the nightlife thing at some point but we were so happy and exhausted by the end of the day we never made it. Now, mind you it was Me and my hubby - early 50's, our kids and their significant others - early 20's - and they didn't even want to go out. That to me speaks volumes of the serenity of Sandcastle Mazatlan!

The grounds are UNBELIEVABLE! Absolutely gorgeous! Impeccably manicured. If you needed to have solitude there were more than enough beautifully secluded areas on the grounds. You can even go for a search for the turtles that are on the property. Seriously, I can't say enough about this place! You really have to see it for yourself.

We will definitely be back!

As soon as we drove through the gates of this stunning property, we fell in love with it. It was like being transported to another world when we walked into the architecturally unique and artistically decorated Villa. Located right on the beach we enjoyed lots of strolls along the waves, admiring the perfect views of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The owner Silvia is very warm and hospitable and made sure we were always comfortable. She also gave us lots of excellent suggestions on things to do, places to visit, the very best restaurant recommendations, spa ideas etc. in Mazatlán all of which are a short drive away. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful and we can't think of anything that wasn't perfect about vacationing here. We would highly recommend the Sandcastle Villa!

I was amazed with the beauty of the sandcastle and the attention to detail making it extremely inviting. The location was perfect. Only minutes from restaurants and shops. I loved the privacy of the property. The beach was beautiful!!! Perfect for long walks along the waves. The sandcastle provided many activities for us such as tennis, mini golf and swimming in the pool/hot tub. I highly recommend anyone looking for the perfect getaway checkout the sandcastle!!!!

Can't even begin to express what a lavish, relaxing and enjoyable time we had at Sandcastle. Sylvia, the owner is so lovely and very knowledgeable about mazatlan and the surrounding area. Her staff are dillegent, friendly and trustworthy (add hilarious as well!)

The bedrooms are exquisitely decorated, in fact every corner of the property has some sort of artistic detail, splash of colour, and Mexican ambience. The kitchen met all of our needs, and morning coffee on the second balcony always started the day off right!

The entire property is maintained beautifully, in particular, the pool, the gardens, the tennis courts and all the kitchen amenities.

Can't recommend highly enough this exquisite and comfortable property.

Ps-The small restaurant next door has the best breakfast!! I recommend "El Sol" and a Caesar! Delicious!

We just spent a week there with our family of 14, ages 2 to 56. It really is a fantastic place. Between the tennis courts, putting greens, beach and pool our family was quite entertained for the week. The staff was great in arranging everything from taxis, to arranging for catering to bringing us fresh schrimp and even making our beds each morning and cleaning up the kitchen. The Villa really couldn't have been any better.

The only downside to this place is that since it's outside the resort area the airport taxis take major advantage of that. We had one group arrive with 8 adults and they charged us 950 pesos for a van and then we had a family of 2 adults with 4 little ones come a bit later who were charged 1200 pesos. That is not this beautiful Villas fault but it would be good to know beforehand how much it cost which is why I put it in this review.

The regular red pickup taxis which can take 8 adults cost us around 200 pesos one way to get pretty much anywhere in Mazatlan.

We have just returned from a fabulous week in Mazatlan at the Sandcastle. I must say I was a bit concerned that this place could live up to the Internet photos and five star reviews....but I am happy to report it's even BETTER in person! It is the most amazing place I've ever been! We had a beautiful beach almost to ourselves, a hot tub and salt water pool, a tennis court, basket ball hoop, a mini putt golf course, and the nicest most helpful staff ever. Whether we wanted shrimp for dinner or a taxi to town, Rafael never let us down. Cindy worked hard every day to make our accommodations clean and organized, and even made our beds every day. Alejandro kept the gardens immaculate and quietly worked behind the scenes so the landscaping was gorgeous. We are SO spoiled!

We usually go to a resort when we travel to Mexico, but this year we decided to have our family reunion in a more private setting. BEST DECISION EVER! The Sandcastle has given us some awesome memories, and we are very grateful for the opportunity to share this unbelievable place.

My husband and I had our dream wedding here back in November 2016. Our amazing hosts, as well as the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. The villa itself and the grounds are so beautiful. It's like walking into a fairytale when you come thru the gates. The pictures can't even touch the true beauty of this place. You just have to see it for yourself.

The beds are all super comfy and the house itself is truly a castle. We felt like a King and Queen and our wedding party had the time of their lives.

The beach is right out the back gate, off the pool deck and the sunsets are breathtaking.

The Surfs Up cafe next door has the most amazing burger I've ever had and the breakfasts are pretty awesome too.

We plan on spending many anniversaries and holidays here. Thanks again to Silvia & Pieter for helping make our wedding so memorable. We will be back again year after year 🙂 cheers

We have been fortunate to have never had a bad experience when traveling to Mexico and we have done this numerous times and visited many places over the last 25+ years. We mainly rent large homes with a staff. All of the homes have been very nice, including this one (the pictures do not quite do it justice!). But what truly makes the trip memorable for me and my family is always the staff. We would rank this one tied for the best staff we have ever had. Rafael and Christina were very happy and accommodating people who never wanted you to lift a finger, as this was “your holiday senior…”. Anything you want or want to do, Rafael has a contact for. I cannot recommend this place enough.
